Women in Film.Dallas is pleased to be working with
USA Film Festival during their
41st Annual Festival Week. The festival has graciously provided WIF.D with an allotment of tickets for select screening that featuring women filmmakers. All tickets are $10 and all proceeds entirely benefit WIF.D!
The films included in the ticket special:
- A Tribute to Malcolm McDowell with a film clip compilation honoring his work preceding the screening of feature film Pound of Flesh. Writer/Director Tamar Hoffs also in attendance. Friday, April 29 @ 7:00p.
- A Tribute to Barry Corbin with a film compilation honoring his work preceding the screening of feature film Nonames. Writer/Director Kathy Lindboe also in attendance. Friday, April 29 @ 7:00p.
- Last Night is writer/director Missy Tadjedin's sexy and evocative debut feature set in New York City and is the story of a married couple that, while apart for one night, are each confronted by temptation that may decide the fate of their marriage. Starring Keira Knightley and Sam Worthington. Filmmakers in attendance. Friday, April 29 @ 7:00p.
- The First Grader is a stirring film about an 84-year-old Kenyan man who is on a quest to read and write while he faces challenges from the colonial past to limited resources to bureaucratic red tape. Screenwriter Ann Peacock. Filmmakers in attendance. Sunday, May 1 @ 7:15p.
