The approval process is conducted by the WIFD Board of Directors at a monthly meeting. We appreciate your patience while we carefully consider every applicant. Professional - $100.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year Renew manually Eligibility: You are eligible to join as a Professional member if you are an established professional in the industry whose primary income is derived from film, television or screen-based media and/or you have five (5) verifiable professional credits. You must also have a sponsor who is a WIFD Professional or Corporate member in good standing. Must affirm support of the WIFD mission.
Free or discounted admission to all WIFD events

Opportunity to participate on all committees
Volunteer for all programs such as our PSA, WIFD film festival & mentorships

Friend - $60.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year Renew manually Eligibility: You are eligible to join as a Friend if you are an individual (all genders welcome) who wants to support WIFD and attend screenings.
Free or discounted admission to a select number of WIFD screenings, meetings, and events per year.
Networking opportunities with other industry professionals.

Student - $25.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year Renew manually Eligibility: You are eligible to join as a Student member if you currently attend an accredited institution in a graduate or undergraduate program, with course of study within the screen-based media industries. Must affirm support of the WIFD mission. Must be at least 18 years of age and present verification of enrollment. Must volunteer 12 hours each calendar year to remain a member in good standing.*

Network with other industry professionals
Opportunity to participate on all committees
Volunteer for all programs such as our PSA, WIFD film festival & mentorships
No voting privileges

*Some of the ways Students can fulfill their volunteer requirement:

Volunteer at 3 WIFD Events. Tasks may include helping with setup/tear down, filming/photographing event, checking in attendees, etc.)
Work on the PSA Production (fulfills volunteer requirement 100%)
Serve on a committee (Membership, Scholastic Grant Fund, PSA/Production, Programs, etc.)
Work on WIFD film festival, currently the Topaz Film Festival. Tasks may include curating films, designing promotional materials, assisting the day of the festival to check attendees in, etc.
