Alicia Pascual, President 

Alicia is a native Northern Californian and a 'can do anything' person. She is an actress, camera operator, camera assistant, writer, director, and producer. Having earned a B.S. in Biological Sciences from UNLV, she went on to work in biology and corporate finance but found where she truly belongs in film. Her diverse knowledge and strong work ethic were instrumental in her completing her full length documentary, various short films and music videos all while working on feature films, TV shows, commercials and corporate videos. In 2017, Alicia was selected WIFD PSA/Production chair where she filmed monthly WIFD events, produced the PSA benefiting Jonathan’s Place and developed the extremely successful WIFD member led “Production Boot Camp”. As President, she aims to improve the opportunities for members to learn, engage and grow in their careers.

Connie Ferrara, Vice President

Connie received her B.S. in Radio-Television-Film from the University of Texas at Austin and has been producing corporate media and independent films ever since. Her passion is to engage in projects that are thought provoking and create an emotional response in the hopes that, by doing so, the audience walks away wanting to find out more, to take some action, or to become an active participant. .Originally from Dallas, circumstances have taken her to other parts of the world, but her heart keeps bringing her back. She is honored to be a part of the WIFD organization and is looking forward to making friendships and creating opportunities in the Dallas community.

Christine Copeland, Secretary

Christine was born in Texas and grew up all over the state. She has a B.S. in Electronic Media and Communications from Texas Tech University. Her passions are editing, coloring and graphics and her upbeat, "can do" attitude help to keep up morale on set and during lengthy editing sessions. She has edited shorts, television, features and generously donated her skills to WIFD promotional videos. Christine currently freelances as a film editor and is an Assistant Editor on Texas Flip n' Move, airing on HGTV and DIY networks. Her goal is to one day edit for Discovery Channel's Shark Week.

Lisha Brock, Treasurer

Lisha joined WIFD in 2007 and boasts her membership has resulted in lasting friendships, being a part of important programming and helping others. Lisha has served as president, film festival chair (and committee member), 30th anniversary chair, and communications coordinator. Lisha is an advocate for women’s right and a firm believer in WIFD’s mission to empower, promote and mentor women in the industry. Lisha began her career in entertainment as a professional actor which led to dabbling in writing, producing and directing. She received her degree in RTF from UT Austin and is a graduate of Leadership Texas. Currently, she is director of Locals Administration with SAG-AFTRA and looks forward to serving WIFD members in overseeing the organization’s finances.

Melanie Yonks, WIFTI Liaison

Melanie Yonks has been in Corporate Communications, Marketing and Film & Video Production for over 30 years.  She is thrilled to represent WIFTI as one of eight board members serving the 40+ chapters of Women in Film and Television International. On the WIFDallas board since 2016, Melanie served as 2016 Chick Flicks Festival Chair, 2017 WIFDallas President, and loved serving on the 2015 Grants and Scholarships committee, as mentoring young filmmakers is near and dear to her heart.

Anna Terry, Membership Chair

Anna has a 23 year multifaceted background as a professional actress, singer/songwriter and voice-over artist with knowledge in multi-media. Some of the clients she has worked for include Chili's,  Samsung, BJ’s Restaurant, Bloomingdale's, Neiman Marcus,  Nokia, JC Penney, Red Robin, Bennigan's,  The American Heart Association,  Dillard's, Elta MD and many more. Although Anna Terry, has been acting in the Film and Television Industry for 24 years, appearing in many feature and Indie films, she recently made her directorial debut in 2017 for a music video production of a song she wrote about her two sons.  Not only did she produce and direct, she also wrote and performed the original tune,  Sweeter on the Vine. Anna is a happy wife and mom and has been married to her very best friend, Todd, for 22 years and they have two precious sons ages 20 and 14.

Cydney Cox, Grants and Scholarships Chair

Cydney is a Texas-raised filmmaker who earned her B.A. from Southern Methodist University in 2014 with a double major in Film & Media Arts and Psychology. Her background includes working as a festival coordinator and film programmer, film camp teacher, production freelancer, and college instructor. She has screened her work in film festivals across the US and received awards for her short films. She works as a producer, assistant director, and script supervisor on diverse productions and is the CEO of Red Road Media House. While continuing to contribute to the film community of the DFW area, Cydney is finishing up her MFA at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Anietie Antia-Obong, Membership Benefits Director

Anietie Antia-Obong is a director/producer/writer working in film, television theatre and the web.  She's written, produced and directed for television shows, documentaries, short films, commercials, corporate videos, PSAs and promos for a variety of clients from Hollywood studios and large corporations to non-profit organizations.  Most recently, Anietie wrote, produced and directed the short film “Priyanath” which has won several awards and been warmly received by audiences at film festivals around the world.   Anietie’s earlier works include the "Straight Trippin’” travel series (executive producer/director), cable series “Natural Companions" (producer/editor) and "Simply Beautiful" (producer/writer), the PBS-aired documentary "The World of Nat King Cole” (producer) and the documentary short "Queen Mother" (producer/director/writer). Anietie is currently developing a documentary series called “The Marriage Squeeze” and developing a rock musical for the stage with her co-writer singer/songwriter/actor Frank Lawson.

Natasha Paris, PSA Producer

As a teen, Natasha wrote 30 features screenplays as a practice run. She has worked for BBR Productions on films and TV shows starring stars like Christopher Plummer, Susan Sarandon, and Max Von Sydow. She wrote and directed EMPTY CALORIES (winner of a WorldFest Houston Film Festival Bronze Remi Award and screened on KERA TV as part of the Frame of Mind program in Fall 2017). Her 2017 Dallas 48 Hour Film, SOMETHING BORROWED, SOMEONE BLUE won Best Film. Her screenplay THE ZODIAC DATER won the Scriptapalooza Fellowship. Her films have been screened in 20 film festivals. So far, she has worked as a writer/script doctor on 20 films, assistant director in 12, directed 10, and produced over 15. Natasha is currently teaching at KD Conservatory.
