Dallas, Texas, June 22, 2018: Women in Film Dallas (WIFD) proudly announces the opening of film submission entries for the Flicks by Chicks Film Festival (FxCF) through August 26, 2018 for regular deadline and through September 15, 2018 for late entries.

Flicks by Chicks Film Festival, an extension of Women in Film Dallas, is a platform for independent female filmmakers. Flicks by Chicks Festival (FxCF) is a competitive, juried film festival that exists to promote, empower, and mentor women in the film industry and the media arts.

The festival program consists of one or more short film blocks (dependent upon submission volume) and one centerpiece feature film. Films are eligible if women are in two or more of the following positions in the making of the film: director, writer, producer, director of photography, editor or composer.
