Making It Frame By Frame
UPDATE - "MAKING IT FRAME BY FRAME" HITS THE MARK

Women In Film.Dallas welcomed and wowed new and familiar faces with a spectacularly attended event on August 9th. The diverse crowd of over a 100 professionals descended upon the ultra cool ReelFX, our host for "Making It Frame by Frame".  A mix of men and women, professionals and students, from every subgroup of the entertainment industry showed support and interest in the panel of speakers, moderated by Joey Cade.
game_jeff.jpgEven the WIF.D raffle was memorable as sponsor Jeff Evans of Roeder & Moon Insurance swept the prize drawing with tickets pooling at his feet while Event Co-Chairs Sara Madsen Miller and Tammy Nguyen Lee drew his winning numbers over and over again!

Prizes and give-aways included an Ipod, Ranger tickets, and even a custom animated company logo.  Everyone in the audience took home a bag filled with treats and goodies from our sponsors and attendees sampled appetizers from Asombra Catering and sipped drinks courtesy of the KBA Group.

An informative panel consisted of Joey Cade - Business Development/Producer (Reel FX), Shell Meggersee-Briggs - Lead Modeler/Producer (Element X Creative), Joanna Ferguson - Producer (Janimation), Shanna Bassinger - Head of Production, Producer (Reel FX), Jennifer Brannon - Producer (Radium) and Aja Bogdanoff - Animator (Reel FX). The topics were more than informative, they were accessible as the speakers addressed budgetary concerns, the importance of pre-production, and adding production value at different price points. The audience ended the evening more knowledgable and better prepared to incorporate animation as a benefit in their future projects.

Thank you to all our sponsors for making this event such a hit!
