Meredith Stephens - President |
Texas native Meredith Stephens started working in production
while earning her bachelor’s degree in Radio, TV and
Film from the University of North Texas. Beginning as an
intern at a Dallas-based rental house, Meredith focused on
engineering and camera skills, as well as client relations.
After nearly seven years and several promotions, Meredith
left as Vice President to pursue a career with a nationally-recognized
production company. There, she served as Director of Sales
and Marketing, representing five directors in 13 states.
During her tenure, Meredith successfully broadened the company’s
marketing efforts and revenue streams to include interactive,
DVD and print media. But, Meredith’s urge to be directly
involved in production led her away from sales and marketing
and toward freelancing. She served as a producer and production
manager for countless production companies, working on regional
and national commercials as well as movies and corporate
communications projects.
Currently, Meredith serves on the Executive Team as Director
of Development with MPS Studios, Dallas’ premier sound
stage and equipment rental facility. As a member of the Executive
Team, she oversees operations of several departments, leads
marketing and client relations efforts, and defines business
solutions to increase efficiency.
Meredith serves as President of Women in Film.Dallas, on the awards
committee for the Association of Independent Commercial Producers
(AICP), and was elected to the board and serves as President
for the Texas Motion Picture Alliance, a statewide organization
that is working towards establishing production incentives
for film and video projects shot in Texas.
