WIF.D offers different
opportunities within the mentorship program to entry- level and professional
women and men to advance their knowledge and careers. Whether entering the industry or seeking to advance their current
position, the mentorship program offers guidance and direction, allowing
individuals to acquire a deeper understanding of the industry's business
practices with one on one interaction.
Do you love your job in the film/TV/media
industry? Do you remember the first person that helped you?
Would you like to help someone make that first step? If so,
please become a WIF.D mentor to an aspiring media professional!
Or perhaps you want to get into the film/TV/media industry.
Or you’re seeking to advance your position to the next
level. Or you would appreciate some guidance and direction
from a media professional. If so, find a mentor to help you
take that next step!
If you are interested in becoming a WIF.D
Mentor or Mentee, we offer the following guidelines:
- Mentoring involves three, one-hour meetings over
a period of three months
- Mentor and mentee must both be active members of WIF.D,
so if you were thinking of joining, now is a great opportunity
- To encourage active participation, the mentee will be
expected to do relevant readings and research between each
meeting with her mentor
WIF.D also offers production-specific mentorships, where
mentees are partnered with industry professionals during
the production of the WIF.D’s popular PSA program.
