 Celebrating women filmmakers will be on the bill, Thursday
October 4th, as Women in Film Dallas hosts its 6th annual
Chick Flicks Film Festival at the Angelika Film Center. This
festival is open to all women filmmakers, but showcases new
and seasoned Texas talent.
Chick Flicks is one of Women In Film Dallas’ most
important fundraising events, and proceeds from ticket sales
and entry fees will benefit WIF.Dallas’ scholarship
foundation. Each film will also be voted on for the coveted
audience choice award.
Doors will open at 6:00 pm. Tickets will be available for
purchase online at $8 for members, and $10 for non-members.
Tickets will be available at the door or can be purchased
online via PayPal. Tickets purchased through PayPal are non-refundable.
The postmark deadline for general film submissions is Friday,
August 17, 2007. Entries for student filmmakers are due Friday,
September 7, 2007. Entries are free for WIF members in Texas,
$20 for non-members or members outside of the state. If you

The postmark deadline for general film submissions is Friday,
August 17, 2007. Entries for student filmmakers are due Friday,
September 7, 2007.
Entries are free for WIF members in Texas, $20 for non-members
or members outside of the state. If you are interested in
submitting your short film (20 minutes or less) please send:
- Your film on either DVD or VHS, labeled with film title
and running time
- Producer name, brief bio, contact address and phone
- Director name, brief bio, contact address and phone
- Brief synopsis of film (30 words or less)
- Year of production
- One production still, non-returnable (digital file on
CD or print image)
- SAS Postcard – We will mail this back to you upon
receipt of your film and submission information to confirm
that we have received it
- Bubble pack SASE if you would like your film returned
to you
- $20 Check made payable to WIF Dallas (Free for WIF -
Texas members. If you are not a member of Women in Film.Dallas
or Houston, this is a good chance to join!)
