That’s
Texas talk for creating a disturbance —
and that’s just what Women in Film.Dallas plans
to do this October 4th at our 6th Annual Chick
Flicks Film Festival at the Angelika Film Center
at Mockingbird Station.
One night only, Thursday, Oct. 4th, Chick Flicks will
be showcasing new and seasoned Texas talent, as well
as celebrated women filmmakers from across the states.
Directors include: Jennifer Aniston’s directorial
debut with Andrea Buchanan, June Boniedot, Shirley Thompson
and Trayc Claybrook, Jessica Schoenbaechler, Linda Stogner,
Marie Ullrich, Carolyn Macartney, Erin Davies, Anna
Dewell-Bussart, and WIF.D 2007 Scholarship Recipients
Sharie Vance and Liz Daggett.
The evening kicks off with Martini Madness at 6:00
pm at Spike Global Grill, conveniently located a few
steps away. Join us early for drinks, appetizers, and
a little networking before the 7:00 pm screening of
what we anticipate as a fabulous night of short films!
After viewing, we will mosey on back to Spike’s
for the presentation of our Audience Choice, Jury, and
Student Awards.
Chick Flicks is one of Women in Film.Dallas’
most important fundraisers, and proceeds from ticket
sales and entry fees help benefit our yearly scholarship
program that WIF.Dallas created.
Tickets to Chick Flicks are only $8.00 for WIF.Dallas
members and $10.00 for non-members. Martini Madness
is free to our WIF.Dallas members and $10.00 for non-members.
Your guests can enjoy both events for
a discounted price of $15.00. Tickets will be available
online soon at www.wifdallas.org
or at the door of either event.
Mark your calendar for an evening of great films, food
and drinks, and giveaways from Entertainment Partners
and Angelika Film Center while collaborating and supporting
our industry.
