Announcing Chick Flicks Leading Ladies
chickflicks2007.jpgFor one night only, Women in Film.Dallas will be rolling out the red carpet for new and seasoned talent from Texas and across the states at this year’s 6th Annual Chick Flicks Film Festival at the Angelika Film Center at Mockingbird Station in Dallas on October 4, 2007.

“As Chick Flicks grows, one of our goals is to promote emerging filmmakers not only from Texas, but also new talent from around the country,” comments Chick Flicks Film Festival Committee Chair, Michele Goodson. “We’re always eager to showcase films from filmmakers marking their directorial debuts, such as our own 2007 Scholarship Recipients, Sharie Vance and Liz Daggett, along with Jennifer Aniston’s first film, Room 10. Chick Flicks is one of our most important fundraisers and proceeds from ticket sales and entry fees help benefit our yearly scholarship program.”

The night’s lineup of talented directors includes:

  • Jennifer Aniston and Andrea Buchanan, Room 10
  • June Boniedot, Local Address, Global Access: Irving, Texas
  • Anna Dewell-Bussart, Divas
  • Liz Daggett, Birth Pangs of a New…
  • Erin Davies, Mohsin & Husna
  • Carolyn Macartney, Wanda the Wonderful - the Trailer
  • Jessica Schoenbaechler, Hooker
  • Linda Stogner, Nowhere But Texas: Circus Town
  • Shirley Thompson and Trayc Claybrook, High Five
  • Marie Ullrich – Fugue
  • Sharie Vance’s scholarship-winning demo
