Wow - what a turnout! Read the recap and the photos are up!
RECAP -- Plano-based visual effects house Motus Digital graciously opened its doors to Women In Film.Dallas on September 9th as the organization wrapped up its annual membership drive and showcase.
Members and guests toured the Motus studio and theatre and saw demonstrations of the technologies used to integrate optical motion capture into entertainment and gaming productions. Motus has a 24 camera motion capture system!
Current members were able to catch up and talk about projects they have been working on as new members and guests networked and became better acquainted with the organization. Old members renewed and new members joined in what promises to be another exciting year!
WIF.D would like to extend thanks to Motus president Keith Brock and producer Shane Williams for the tour and to sponsors AFI DALLAS, The Filmworkers Club, Sony, TM Television, TapeOnline.com, Lone Star Film Festival, MPS Studios Dallas, and The Tape Company.

Truthfully - it's another excuse for a great party! It's a time when sponsors, members, non-members, and guests celebrate the WIF.D organization!
Current members get a chance to catch-up and talk about projects they have been working on. New members get a chance to network and become better acquainted with the organization. Non-members get a chance to hear more about WIF.D and the great benefits it has to offer!
Motus Digital is opening its doors at 2805 E. Plano Parkway, Suite 250, Plano, TX 75074 on Tuesday, September 9th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm for our Annual Membership Drive and Showcase.
This evening will be the ideal occasion to learn more about the organization, hear plans about future WIF.D programs and events, and take advantage of a great opportunity to network. Members are FREE while non-members are only $10.00.
We'll have some exciting news, refreshments, prizes for members and prizes to be raffled away, and a reel to showoff of what other members are working on. This is the time to join or rejoin! You'll also receive our WIF.D notebook to new members (while supplies last) and your official membership card!
