WOMEN IN FILM.DALLAS ANNOUNCES A CALL FOR ENTRIES FOR THIS YEAR'S 2008 CHICK FLICKS FILM FESTIVAL
Dallas, TX - July 15, 2008 - Women In Film.Dallas is seeking submissions for their 7th Annual Chick Flicks Film Festival set for October 2, 2008. Chick Flicks showcases the talents of Texas women in narrative, documentary, animation, experimental works and music videos.
These short film submissions must be either produced or directed by a woman with Texas roots OR, for entry into our new "WIF.D Crew Girls" category, crew members may submit a short film with a detailed explanation describing their key role(s) in the production. Proceeds from ticket and entry fees benefit the WIF.D scholarship fund.
Submissions should be postmarked no later than Friday, September 5, 2008.
Please use the following guidelines for participation:
1. Submit a DVD of your short, labeled with the film title, filmmaker's name and total running time (must be less than 20 minutes)
2. Include the Producer and/or Director's name, brief bio, contact address and phone
3. Write a brief synopsis of the film (50 words or less)
4. Year of production
5. Include one production still, non-returnable (digital file on CD or print image, high resolution)
6. SAS postcard (this will be sent to you upon receipt of your submission)
7. Bubble pack SASE (if you would like your film copy returned to you)
8. Check made payable to Women In Film.Dallas sent to Women In Film.Dallas, 2600 Stemmons Freeway, Suite 117, Dallas, TX. 75207
Submission fee is free to WIF.D members, $20 for students and $30 for non-members. Proceeds from ticket and entry fees benefit the WIF.D scholarship fund.
