Martini Madness Recap - Posted June 12, 2007
From the first moment you walked into the private and intimate
space provided by our friends at
Riccardi’s, Tammy and Laura, Women in Film.Dallas’ Membership
Chairs, immediately made you feel welcome and a part of the
family; and if you weren’t a member then, there is
no doubt that you left the party thinking that perhaps tonight
you found a home in WIF.D.
WIF.D’s main objective has always been to promote and
enhance the recognition of our members and all professional
women in the film and video industry, and Martini Madness is
an excellent example of how WIF.D mixes mingling with fun,
for a casual and never stuffy evening of networking. From the
informal circle of introductions to the new promotional table
where members can drop off marketing materials about themselves,
Martini Madness proves time and time again to be one of the
best marketing tools for women and men in the region—and
it's loads of fun too!
Riccardi’s
was the perfect host of WIF.D’s latest Martini Madness
with their fabulous food—pasta, boneless buffalo wings
and delicious salmon—the likes that many mentioned
they had never tasted until that evening. Riccardi's drinks
are among the best in Dallas, and the service was splendid!
Among the guests, Janis Burkland mentioned
in the circle that our work with TXMPA has just begun and
talked about how we can help with the momentum. To paraphrase
our wonderful Martini Madness host and WIF.D board member
Donatelle Mascari, "The bill is signed, but it's not
going to be a free ride. Get involved!"
The promo table— filled with business
cards, promo pieces of every kind, and even a DVD player
with a demo reel (smart thinking on one member’s part!)—was
a hit
“It was a great evening and one that
I feel will resonate for a long, long time,” adds Donatelle.
WIF.D thanks every contributor that made this
evening such a success! Don’t miss out on the next "Tuesday
Tradition," August 13th. Check out the photos in our Gallery!
