WIF.D Marketing Committee Mentors TWU Students
Last fall, Women In Film.Dallas member volunteers formed a marketing
committee to revamp the look of WIF.D. Jana Perez, graphic designer and Texas
Woman’s University Assistant Professor of Graphic Design, offered up the
creative talents of her students.
Four unique concepts were created and presented to the committee and the
results were phenomenal. Collaborating with the students were WIF.D Marketing
Committee members Marla Fields, Lynne Reynolds, Jeff Evans, Rondi Hillstrom
Davis, Joyce Foy, Jay Prichard, Joyce Byrd, and Toni Cyan Brock. The talented
students included Morgan Odell, Katerina Pilipchik, Janice McNaughton, Tamara
Cropp, Miriam Requesto, Echo Huang and volunteer Ashley Bohannon. To add even
more involvement, Beth Higgins, a photography graduate, volunteered her time to
capture the presentation.
Mutually benefiting for the committee and the students, the group's
interaction produced outstanding results for the Women In Film.Dallas
organization. Gaining real world experience and an impressive addition to their
resumes, the young women from Texas Woman’s University created a marketing
campaign the committee was proud to show the WIF.D Board of Directors. Though
some of students are graduating, they have volunteered to continue working with
the committee to fine tune the campaign through its completion. The four
concepts will be unveiled at the upcoming Women In Film.Dallas event "Martini
Madness", held at Sambuca in Addison on Tuesday, February 12th, at 6:00 pm.
Jana, the TWU students, and the WIF.D Marketing Committee, as well as several
marketing professionals from local Dallas firms, will be present for the
announcement of the final selection.
Be there for an exciting evening of networking, bring your business cards and
marketing materials for the WIF.D promotional table, and take the opportunity to
thank the TWU students and the WIF.D Marketing Committee for their tireless
effort and amazing results.
