Amy is a native of San Antonio, Texas. She moved to Dallas in 2004 to pursue a career in Marketing and Advertising at a local community college. She has previously worked in the marketing and public relations field working for The Salvation Army in Fort Worth. Upon graduating from college she got a job as a staff writer for a barrel racing magazine in Terrell, Texas. 

Amy has a Bachelor of Science in Speech Communication and Journalism and English Minors from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. 

She's currently a board member for Women in Film.Dallas and is the Membership Co-Chair. Amy is also involved in various other community organizations such as Leadership Garland and serves on the board for Keep Mesquite Beautiful. Her passion is volunteering for film organizations-having helped with the 2007 Lone Star International Film Festival and 2007 AFI Dallas International Film Festival.
