Shell currently works at Element X Creative, a full-service animation and visual
effects studio, where creative minds and cutting edge technology converge to
create stunning imagery that drives stories. Aside from servicing top consumer
brands such as Pepsi, Hasbro and Frito Lay, EXC has also serviced some of the
top children’s brands in entertainment like Barney, Thomas The Train, Bob The
Builder, Angelina The Ballerina, and Boz The Green Bear Next Door. Shell
originally started her career in illustration and fine art, where she was lucky
enough to have a painting hung in the DMA for the Young Masters exhibit in 1999.
She has also worked professionally in a number of mediums ranging from Home
Couture fabrics design to custom jewelry, as well as extensive print work. Shell
started at EXC in 2003 as an intern and today is Lead Modeler and Texture
Artist. In conjunction with Women in Animation.LA, Shell is also in the process
of starting a Women in Animation chapter in Dallas.
