Special Dallas Film Screening (7:00PM - 11:59PM)
The Dallas Chapter of the Texas Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty is hosting a screening to watch the award-winning film,"At the Death House Door," a documentary that discusses capital punishment in Texas. Following the screening, viewers will discuss the issues relating to capital punishment, such as lethal injection, wrongful conviction, the unlikely victims, and the flaws in the US criminal justice system.

 Showcasing new and seasoned talent, Chick Flicks is one of our most
important fundraising events for Women In Film.Dallas as the proceeds
from ticket and entry fees benefit our scholarship foundation.

Location Scout Workshop (All Day)
WIF.D, TFC and AFI DALLAS team together for a one-day workshop, taught by experienced Locations department professionals, that gives you the skills needed to hit the ground running and find locations for productions to shoot in Texas.
Participants are taught the details of a Location Scout's responsibilities and tricks of the trade. They also get an overview of the responsibilities of the Location Manager. Upon completing the Workshop, participants receive a Locations Scout Workshop Training Certification from the Texas Film Commission, which can be included on a résumé, and a listing in the Texas Production Directory.

Dallas Screenwriters Association October Meeting (7:00PM - 9:00PM)
Jeffrey Goodman, director of "The Last Lullaby," will speak to the DSA about taking a story from a short film to a feature. "The Last Lullaby," starring Tom Sizemore ("Saving Private Ryan," "Blackhawk Down") and Sasha Alexander (NCIS), is such a project and had its premiere at the 2008 AFI Dallas International Film Festival.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Event starts at 7:00 p.m.
